Vancouver has a thriving lesbian community that offers a wide range of events and activities year round.

Commercial Drive, known locally as “The Drive” is a popular neighbourhood for Vancouver’s lesbian community. This funky, East side neighbourhood is packed with great, reasonably price ethnic restaurants, cafes, shops and services.

East Side Pride takes place in the heart of The Drive and is an Official Pride Event to help the VPS kick off Pride Season on June. The East Side Pride Dance takes place that evening with entertainment and dance. The Drive can be easily accessed by car and transit.

Off The Drive, there are also many exciting events that take place at various locations throughout the city.

Flygirl Productions – Where The Girls Are!

Voted best lesbian party Georgia Straight, Best of Vancouver, Flygirl has become one of the leading lesbian event organizers in North America. Along the way they’ve earned an international reputation for exceptional events that spark phenomenally good times. They put on big events, but they’re not a big corporation. They’re a tight, collaborative group of people with diverse talents and expertise working together to shake up dance floors and make a positive difference in lesbian entertainment. Some of their signature events like Chicas, Pride Hershe Bar and Chicks Ahoy Boat Cruise draw international crowds.

Special Pride Week Parties – Aug long weekend (Fri-Sun). Includes Chicks Ahoy! boat cruise, the famous "Chicas" party and Hershe Bar.

Flygirl Productions "CHICAS" party is Canada’s premier lesbian party. With international DJ’s, live bands and dance performers, there is always something for everyone. Imagine infamous Playboy Mansion parties for a lesbian market and you can start to get the idea!
