20 Years of Cruising!
The now world-famous CruiseyT Floating T Dance Party Cruises are proudly celebrating their 20th anniversary of cruising the waters off Canada’s Pacific coast in 2011. Back in 1991, the original Vancouver-based cruises began as a single, one-day Pride Cruise, with partial proceeds going to support Vancouver Pride. Since that time, CruiseyT has reportedly raised up to $615,000 for local charities.
Originally called The RileyT, the name was changed to the familiar CruiseyT in 1995, as it is known today. Since the beginning, CruiseyT Party Cruises have continued to expand, adding one additional cruise in 2001, a variety of others over the years, and eventually deciding on their current schedule of seven cruises per season in 2011, making them Canada’s largest regularly scheduled series of floating T Dances.
Themed party cruises include a Kick-Off Cruise at the end of May, Salute to Summer Cruise in June, Leather and Denim Cruise in July, a Pride Go-Go Cruise, Pride White Party Cruise and Pride Party Cruise during Vancouver Pride, as well as a Grand Finale Cruise in early September. These colourful events take place on two well-known Vancouver Harbour Cruises vessels, the MV Harbour Princess (see cover photo) and the MV Britannia, accommodating up to 400 passengers.
Party cruises feature some of Vancouver’s top local entertainers and DJs, indoor and outdoor dance floors, full bar service and spectacular scenery. Pride Cruises last for four hours and adults of all genders over 19 years of age are welcome. Special Group Rates and Seasons Passes are also available for advance purchase. CruiseyT Party Cruises are great addition to any summer schedule. Find out more at: www.cruiseyt.com .
