Our 10th annual Gay Friendly Canada guide print edition has been distributed coast to coast, and the digital edition is also available on the right side of this page.
On stage in Vancouver this month, "Monty Python's Spamalot" and "Red Rock Diner" are features currently for the Arts Club Theatre, Theatre Sports have a full lineup of Comedy Improv or Improv Test Kitchen, and check out The Cultch and Zee Zee Theatre, to see What's On and coming up. Suzanne Westenhoefer, the first openly Gay comic on TV along with opening act Kate Reid are playing WISE Hall and there are amazing exhibits at the Maritime Museum, Bill Reid Gallery and the Vancouver Art Gallery.
"Lady GaGa's Artpop Tour" has been rescheduled until August. "Chris Isaak", "Salt N Pepa" and "Devo" are just a few of those on the calendar and now is the time to grab tickets for Elton John, who is coming with to the city with a concert in the fall!
Of course, there's lots on the calendar in Davie Village and other venues around town, as party animals line up for "Tuesdays @ Celebrities", "Cocky Thursdays" and Peach Cobblah's "Shame Spiral" at 1181. "Liberace Thursdays" at Celebrities has a ever-changing list of special guests, nightly DJ's spin at the PumpJack, "Helicopter Thursdays" take it all off and the always popular "Absolutly Dragulous" Show is at at The Junction. "The Bobbers" are back with their hiliarious comedy nights and "Monroe" are on at Heaven's Door. The Cobalt anchors the East Side, with a whole new series of events, including "Hustla: Beach Body" and more.
"Joan - Eleveneightone" and "Show Tunes" is on at 1181, Karaoke Box is on every night upstairs at Numbers Cabaret if you want to test the vocal chords and The PumpJack just completed a grand scale expansion, adding another dance space to Davie Village.
The Queer Arts Festival kicks off on July 23 with 18 days of events, exhibitions and workshops and of course it's Pride month here in Vancouver. A full lineup of Pride events, including Gay Day at Playland, Picnic in the Park, the Pride Proclamation at City Hall, the Davie Street Dance Party, Chicks Ahoy Cruise, the 3rd annual RUFFpride party, Vancouver Pride Parade, Vancouver Pride Festival and Market, CruiseyT's fabulous party cruises and Chicas at The Wall Centre Vancouver Hotel gardens, to name a few.
